Founded by national record holder Jevaughn Ballington, Go Beyond Freediving is Trinidad and Tobago’s only Molchanovs-certified freediving school. We make freediving and spearfishing accessible to everyone—combining safety, expertise, and a relaxed approach so you can explore the ocean with confidence.

Freediving is the practice of diving underwater on a single breath, relying on breath-hold techniques rather than scuba equipment. It combines proper breathing, equalization, relaxation, and efficient finning to maximize depth and time underwater. By training both the body and mind, freedivers learn to safely extend their breath-hold, conserve oxygen, and move naturally beneath the surface. In the Caribbean, this skill not only allows you to explore vibrant reefs and marine life with ease, but also forms the foundation for responsible spearfishing and deeper ocean adventures.

Spearfishing is the ancient practice of hunting fish while freediving, using skill, patience, and respect for the ocean instead of heavy equipment or nets. It’s one of the most sustainable and selective ways to harvest fish, allowing you to connect directly with the sea and provide food in a natural, responsible way. At Go Beyond Freediving, we teach spearfishing with a focus on safety, ocean awareness, and ethical practices—so every dive is not just an adventure, but a lesson in harmony with the underwater world.

Led by Jevaughn Ballington, Trinidad & Tobago’s only Molchanovs-certified freediving instructor and national depth record holder across all disciplines. With his expertise as a freediver, spearfisherman, swim coach, and EMT, Jevaughn brings world-class training with a laid-back, supportive approach that makes freediving safe and accessible to all.
